  • Delegates undertaking this course will be considered First Aiders for Mental Health and be a point of contact within the workplace to help and support those with a suspected mental health condition. This course is an ideal follow on from our mental health awareness course.

    The Mental Health in the Workplace course is suitable for anyone who has Line Manager responsibility or wants to increase their awareness of Mental Health and how to support and manage it in the workplace.

    All learners will be issued with a comprehensive Mental Health & Wellbeing in the workplace manual for use during the course and to refer to a later date. The book contains useful resources and signposting information.

    They will learn about the first aid action plan for mental health, be able to put it in place and know how to implement a positive mental health culture in the workplace. Delegates will not diagnose or treat mental health conditions as this can only be carried out by healthcare professionals but will gain the knowledge to identify when a person may have a condition and know where they can go to get help.

    Assessment & Certification

    The qualification is assessed through both a practical demonstration of the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan and a multiple-choice question paper. Delegates will be awarded the Mental Health in the Workplace certificate valid for 3 years, subject to successful assessment.

    This qualification is valid for three years. It is strongly recommended that delegates attends annual refresher training.
